Sustainability is in the view of Focal Meditech BV a responsibility of all, including citizens and companies. This includes the production of technical aids for the handicapped. Focal wants to be a responsible company and make steps ahead to contribute to a sustainable society. Waste separation improved and increased, personal robots are reconditioned and the ‘cradle to cradle’ principle in which waste serves as the raw materials for new products is always more used. An example is the re-use of parts of dynamc arm supports. Dynamic arm supports that come back to our warehouse are carefully inspected. Suitable parts that meet stricts quality standards are cleaned and stripped of paint for use in new products that are labelled as ‘refurbished’. For this goal recently an advanced new machine for surface treatment was installed. In this way reconditioning contributes to a better sustainability.
