DYNAMIC ARM SUPPORT ‘BALANCER’
‘BALANCER’ is a dynamic arm support of the ‘sling’ type. ‘BALANCER’ is simple and easy to use. In this device the user’s arm is attached to a thin wire that runs over a carrying mechanism above and behind the user. A constant force spring mechanism at the rear of the construction is used to assist the user in lifting his arm against gravity. ‘BALANCER’ was designed for wheelchair application. It is possible to fold the arm support together when not in use of for transportation purposes. ‘BALANCER’ ‘s use is intended for persons with relatively mild muscle weakness who are not very demanding.
