How?
In spite of his or hers limited hand function the user commonly operates the arm manually in a personalised manner. The arm usually is mounted on the user's wheelchair. From this platform the user performs the required activities with the robot's gripper.

Focal's product package comprises two advanced robots and can therefore meet the demands of a variety of users. All models can be fitted with simple, easy to use user interfaces and control menus. Full integration into the wheelchair operating system is possible.

Models:
In the selection process of suitable personal robot issues like ease of use, light weight, optimal reach and good lifting capacity play an important role. Also the possibilities to mount the robot on the wheelchair in a convenient way are of the greatest importance.

Personal robot Bridgit is commonly placed on a wheelchair on a railsystem. This railsystem adds to the reach of the robot and allows the user to dock it either on the front end or back end of the wheelchair. Like Jaco, the operation of Brdigit is very intuitive and easy to learn.
